The "decision" to buy Calypso took place in January of 2013, but the research started in November of 2012.  I started to work on how I was going to make that happen and also on exactly what Calypso would be.  I was in an information gathering mode.  I collected hundreds of videos and visited thousands of web-sites.  One aspect that I went down starting with the rumors in 2012 was the release of info for Gran Turismo 5 on PS3 that featured a "Concept Car" called the Corvette C7 Stingray, complete with camouflage.  - I BOUGHT INTO IT.  BIG TIME.

The GT6 version is now featured in the new

E. Pierce Marshall Memorial Performance Gallery

at the Museum.

I'm not alone in the playing of GT6 on Playstation.  If you go to the "Details" page of this web-site, and watch the video regarding "Corkscrew Time Comp..." you will hear how others practice as well at the 1:10 minute mark of that video.  BTW buy the steering wheel control option with pedals.  The realism is remarkable.

Subsequently, the actual released versions were released following the "Reveal", and improved greatly with option choices in GT6.

The following Videos are shown in the order with which I made them.

To this day I practice the corkscrew @ Laguna Seca.

There are others on my "GT5 Road Courses" YouTube Playlist.  Should you wish to go there, click the link.

Here is the link to the "hundreds of videos" that I amassed in the Pre-Order days.

The other great thing about Gran Turismo is that it helps you identify the Heirs Apparent for the future of Calypso.

Here is a short video of the two front-runners.  Given enough time, and practice they will do just fine.
